BBC presenter says she's scared aliens are stalking her and has seen a UFO (2024)

WORKING on a new BBC Three documentary about the Broad Haven UFO mystery has left host Sian Eleri looking over her shoulder.

While not a big believer in extraterrestrials, the TV star – who investigates the sighting of a strange object by 14 schoolboys in Wales in 1977 – retains an open mind.

But she’s become a bit paranoid after being warned by a number of those that feature in Paranormal: The Village That Saw Aliens – which airs tonight at 9pm – that investigating the case could make her a target.

She said: “Last weekend, in the run-up to the documentary coming out, I look up at the sky and there’s this line of lights moving slowly, in complete harmony.

“I was thinking, ‘What on Earth was that?’, and one of my friends was like, ‘I think that’s Elon Musk's satellites’, but I really did think I’d seen something.

“I’m just on high alert, imagining the Men In Black and being under surveillance.”

Arty girl Vic back in action

DJ and TV presenter Vick Hope led the glamorous celebs at the annual Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition in London this week.

She was joined by The Traitors host Claudia Winkleman and Radio 1 DJ Clara Amfo at the event, where she went braless in a blue backless, one-shoulder dress.

Vick attended the bash without her husband, music super-producer Calvin Harris, who she wed in a Glastonbury-themed wedding in Northumberland last year.

The Strictly Come Dancing star presented ITV2’s I’m A Celebrity spin-off Extra Camp in 2020, as well as Vick Hope’s Breakfast Show on ITV in 2022 on Sunday mornings.

It's Spam hell for Alma man

SOPHIE Willian is back in her signature pink coat as comedy Alma’s Not Normal returns for a second series.

The show writer stars as main character Alma – a wild-child at the centre of a family of eccentric, unruly women – who is aiming to break free from her average life.

And things pick up where they left off in season one with six new episodes, which will air on BBC Two this autumn.

After Alma finally looked to be giving up on her dreams to save mum Lin (Siobhan Finneran) from struggles with her mental health and a drugs habit, a first look sees Lin’s boyfriend Jim is now living with Alma’s gran.

It’s not going well for the loving schizophrenic, played by Nicholas Asbury, who is being force-fed spam sandwiches and is desperate for Alma’s help to escape.

The first series saw Sophie winning Bafta’s Best Comedy Writer gong for the show pilot.
