Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to provide medical secretarial support to our North Wales Adult Weight Management Service based in St Asaph.
The main duties of role will involve typing/formatting clinic letters and reports from dictated materials, promptly and efficiently, ensuring accuracy.
Main duties of the job
By the nature of the duties, the post holder will be required to maintain strict confidentiality and will be expected to deal with patients/carers/relatives, BCU staff and external organisations with courtesy and discretion. There will be a requirement to work using one's own initiative, efficiently and well organised.
It is essential that candidates have advanced keyboard skills and audio typing/word processing qualifications, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages. Candidates should also have a good standard of education, excellent communication skills and a knowledge of medical/anatomy terminology
The post holder will also be required to be part of the wider team and assist with the general administrative support to the Weight Management service (to include reception duties and booking patient appointments) as required.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
