Mr. Kenneth Travis Beaty of Albany, Kentucky, formerly of Muncie, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center, having attained the age of 80 years, 10 months, and 9 days. Kenneth was born on Friday, August 13, 1943, in Detroit, Michigan to Willard & Nora (Smallwood) Beaty. He spent his childhood in Albany, Kentucky, and attended Clinton County High School. Kenneth was a proud United States Army Veteran serving as a sergeant in the “Redcatcher” 199th Light Infantry Brigade. He was honored with a Bronze Star for heroic actions during the Vietnam War Tet Offensive in 1968. Kenneth was a Past Master of the Wilbur A. Full Masonic Lodge in Muncie, Indiana and a current member of the Byrdstown Lodge #496. He was employed at Borg Warner Automotive in Muncie for more than thirty years. He retired in 2002 and returned to his hometown of Albany, Kentucky where he spent his retiring years, enjoying the country life, and spoiling his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his sister Donna Nicholas, and brother, Kenton “Red” Beaty.
